The year 1917 of The First World War

First World war took place at the beginning of the twentieth century and effected the whole world. The warwhich begun in 1914 had continued as long as four years and effected deeply both the countries in war and out of the war.The year 1917 was the period of increase in the request for peace both at the front lines and behind the front lines as a result of the difficulties of the war. Those people and soldiers who fed up of the war voiced this everywhere. The Russians had been the one who voiced this more and as a result of the two revolutions in that same year, they withdrew from the war.Germany had planned to destroy United Kingdom through submarine attacks, but at the end not only failed in these attempts, as a result of their wrongful strategy they also created reasons for the United States to take part in the war which led to the destruction of Germany itself.The aim of the Allies was to bring Germany in a state that it can not to engage war again. Therefore from the beginning of the 1917 spring the offensive attacks had began in all fronts. No actual success achieved and Italy had faced a major defeat.The Ottoman State on the other hand, not only fought in the fronts around its border, it also send its superior forces to the European fronts to support its allies. In addition the absence of the superior soldiers were later felt in the Palestine and Iraqi frontlines so holy cities such as Jerusalem and Bagdat were lost.Year 1917 had been a year of no winner despite the all developments and it had been a year of defensive fence war. However, with the United States entry to war and support to the allies had been in the favor of the Allies.
