Mechanisms for the protection of human rights under the United Nations

After the Second World War, the United Nations Organization has played an important role in the protection and development of human rights. This role has been realized by a number of bodies within the United Nations and througha number of methods. The methods are; the authority of the special supervisory body provided forby the contract is recognized; the other isnon-contractualprotection methods. The basis of the non-convention protection system is the UN Charter and Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Non-contractual protectionmethods; The universal periodic review mechanism within the Human Rights Council is a complaint application method and special methods. In-contractprotection methods; protection based on reports, interstate complaint method,individual application method, investigation method and visit based protectionmethod.
