Bisiklet paylaşım sisteminin planlanması

Bicycle sharing system is a publicly available transportation system consisting of stations located in certain parts of the city. In recent year, bicycle sharing system has gained popularity in many major cities around the world. Its positive effect on air and noise pollution problem and human health issues, traffic and parking places problems of big cities are some of the reasons for this increase. Besides, there are some problems that bicycle sharing systems have to deal with. In order for these systems to be successful, the demands of the users must be met to the maximum extent. In the past work related to the subject, it seems that there are two main problems affect the bicycle sharing systems' demand and quality; the station being completely empty when users come to pick-up bicycles or a station being completely full when arriving to leave the bike. In this study, bicycle rebalancing operations are discussed in order to solve this problem encountered by the mentioned systems. There are some variables to be determined when performing these operations. These variables are the number of bicycles that must be delivered to the stations or the number of bicycles that must be collected from the stations. Then, it will be necessary to transport these bicycles to the stations with the shortest route. For this purpose, mathematical models in theliterature are examined and a new approach based on this model is proposed. An Estimation of Distribution Algorithm (EDA) is used in this approach. The proposed approach is tested with the data generated and with the data from a real BSS and results are presented.
