Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT RECORDING AND ANALYZING BIOLOGICAL SIGNALS BY THE COMPUTER In this study, we suggest data acquisition systems to be used in recording and analyzing biological signals in the digital form. These two systems include digital storage oscilloscope, and analog to digital converter units respectively. In the first system, analog signals are converted to digital form by ADC of the digital storage oscilloscope and then saved as 1 kword data; finally these data are transferred to the computer by BİSİP software, where they can be visualized and a variety of functions be performed on them. In this system; DSO serves as a device which converts to digital, and also leads to visualizing. In the second system which includes ADC, oscilloscope performs only the visualizing function. Data record in the computer by ASCII format, can be drawn on the screen and same measurements be made with the aid of cursor, by the BİSİP software. In the BlSlP software; it's possible to draw miscellaneous curves on the screen, to make time and amplitude analysis by the cursor, and also to make derivation, integration, Fourier Frequency analysis and averaging. By the BİSİP program; the data can be read from DSO or ADC, can be transferred to paper by the print screen command, and can be saved as "file" in the magnetic environment by the save command. By converting analog biological signals to digital and by making their computerized analysis; it will be possible to get more information about biological systems by the aid of the biological signals. Key Words: Data acquisition system, biological signal, digital storage oscilloscope, analog to digital converter. VIII
