Professional unions of the Byzantine Empire

Guilds mean 'classes' as the meaning of the word. It is used to define entrepreneurs that self-employed, on-capital and working on the strength of arm and body. Artisans and owners of small business are mentioned as guilds. In this group, making our daily lives easier and in fact, we have questioned their morality whenever we meet; there are many tribes from different sectors as baker, potter, butcher, musician, shoemaker, carpenter, leather dealer, blacksmith and jeweler.The Byzantium guilds and artisans that control the Istanbul in politics, social and economic, provided the economic necessities of the center in a systematic way. Guild organization that hosts the religious, moral and social organisation is also an excellent example of the functioning of social organisation. However, every formation is destined to perish as time dependent change and development. Byzantium Guild Organisation resisted against the technological and demographic development from time to time, but the Crusades in 12. century damaged the Byzantium economy and Byzantine trade and industry was taken by the Italians.
