Abstract (EN)

The construction sector, with the increasing complexity and scale of projects, requires more effective management techniques. Building Information Modeling (BIM) has emerged as a technology that responds to this need, offering various advantages in the planning, design, construction, and operation phases of projects. This study aims to examine the effects of Building Information Modeling on the management processes of construction projects in depth and to evaluate its contribution to project success. In this research, a case study approach, which is one of the qualitative research methods, has been employed. Firstly, a comprehensive literature review was conducted, and the current state of BIM integration into project management, along with previous studies on the subject, were investigated. Subsequently, a sample construction project was selected, and a detailed field study was carried out on this project. During the data collection process, qualitative research techniques such as semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and observation were used. In this way, the contributions of BIM to project management were analyzed in depth. The research findings reveal that BIM improves communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, reduces design errors, minimizes risks, and enhances project efficiency. Moreover, BIM has been found to play a significant role in sustainability and environmental performance assessments. For example, through the use of BIM, energy efficiency analyses can be conducted, and environmental impacts can be evaluated more effectively. Other advantages offered by BIM include more accurate estimation of project costs, more effective management of schedules, and improved quality control processes. By ensuring accurate and up-to-date information flow at every stage of the project process, BIM enables project stakeholders to make more informed decisions. This contributes to the successful completion of projects in compliance with budgetary and time constraints.
