Abstract (EN)
INTRODUCTION: Chronic renal failure has a high risk of progression to end stage renal disease. The treatment of end-stage renal disease is renal replacement therapy and the first choice should be renal transplantation because it increases the quality of life of the patient and is a more cost-effective treatment method. MATERİAL AND METHODS: Our study 18/10/2017-15/11/2020 Bozok University School of Medicine in Internal Medicine and Nephrology has been viewed 110 renal transplant patients admitted to the outpatient clinic retrospectively evaluated. RESULTS: In our study, a total of 110 patients with renal transplantation, 36 female and 74 male, who were followed up in our clinic were evaluated. The mean age of the patients was found to be 47.1 ± 12.2 (min-max = 16-72). Mean time elapsed after transplantation of the patients was determined as 10.2 years (min-max = 3-24). In our study, no significant relationship was found between the gender of the patients, blood group types, graft source, time after transplantation, preference of the immunosuppressive drug used and blood urea level. In our study, no significant relationship was found between the gender, blood group type, graft source, and the time elapsed after transplantation with the immunosuppressive drug used. CONCLUSION: Survival of existing grafts and patients is important due to the long waiting lines for renal transplantation. For this reason, studies investigating the risk factors causing graft loss are needed. Keywords: renal transplantation, hyperuricemia, risk factor, treatment, end stage renal disease
