Abstract (EN)

Chronic renal disease (CRD) is the reduction of the number and functional impairment of nephrons and usually resulting end stage renal disease (ESRD). But ESRD is defined that loss of irreversible endogenous renal functions and glomerular filtration rate (GFR) falls below 15 ml / min. Chronic renal failure (CRF) as well as all over the world, it is also remains importance as a serious health problem in Turkey. Todays health related life quality investigation result of health interventions using the evaluation is regarded as significantly. Quality of life assessments to helps planning treatment strategies determine the effect of medical interventions and to evaluate the quality of medical care. One of the important elements of quality of life that is often undervalued is the sexuality. in studies have found that male and female patients with kidney failure are reported to occur at high rates of sexual dysfunction. Even in some studies it is estimated that more than 50 % of the incidence of erectile dysfunction who male patients with kidney failure. In this study, we researched retrospectively 40 male patients demographic characteristics, endocrine problems , quality of life and sexual function who performed cadaveric or live donor transplantation between February 2007 and February 2009Ege University Medical Faculty Hospital , Department of General surgery. We used short form- 36 for assessment for life quality For sexual function assessment we used Turkish version İİEF form. In our result ,patients who underwent renal transplantation fifth year renal function tests of the patients , sex hormones , lipid profiles, sexual life activities, general health status were evaluated retrospectively. We obtain insight about the fifth year assessments in patients also in preemptive patients we as the results remain difficult to interpret high parathormone and high serum creatinine levels. These results will include more patients eligible to be evaluated in prospective studies
