Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to perform an analysis of the factors that determine national and international competitive advantage through the diamond model applied to the tourism cluster in the capital city of Colombia, Bogota. The Diamond Competitiveness Model, developed by Michael Porter, is one of the important models in the field of strategic management. With the help of this strategic model, it can be evaluated and understood why certain nations and industries have a competitive advantage over their competitors in global markets. The main factors of the diamond model are factor conditions, demand conditions, related and supporting industries, firm strategy, structure, and competition, along with the role of State and opportunities factors that Porter considers external. As a result of the research, the Diamond Model shows that Bogota has a competitive power in the field of tourism on a national and international scale, despite its weaknesses in some factors. Bogota has the potential to become one of the most competitive cities in the international tourism industry if it uses key factor conditions efficiently and effectively. Keywords: Diamond Model, Competitive Advantage, Clustering, Tourism Cluster, Bogota.
