Parents 'expectations and music teachers' views on music in private schools in Bolu

The main purpose of this research is; In the framework of special education institutions, the assessment of the music course in the primary, secondary and high school levels in terms of parents expectations and music teacher, whether the family varies according to age, gender, occupation and education level, and also the possibility that the expectation may vary according to the education level of the student (primary school-secondary school-high). learning what is happening. The findings of the research were obtained by means of the Personal Information Form and the Music Teacher Questionnaire, which were created by the researcher together with the experts in the field, the Parent Expectation Scale. The study group of the study consisted of 328 pupils studying in 11 private schools in Bolu province in 2018-2019 academic year and 11 music teachers providing education in these schools. According to the results of the study, it is concluded that the parents consider music lessons as important, they do not see the school facilities enough, there are significant differences in terms of gender, age, education level and expectations of students according to education level, while the results obtained from music teachers are not cared enough by parents. it was not enough for its functioning and it was concluded that there should be more than one music teacher in schools.
