Abstract (EN)

This study aims to examine the attitudes of middle school students in Bolu province towards music classes. The research evaluates and analyzes students' approaches to music classes based on various variables, such as gender, grade level, and the presence of family members who play musical instruments. The study was conducted using a descriptive survey model, and the data were analyzed using quantitative methods. A total of 300 students from five public middle schools in the city center of Bolu participated in the study by completing an attitude scale. The data collected were analyzed and statistically evaluated using the SPSS 22 program. The results indicate that middle school students generally hav a positive attitude towards music classes. However, significant differences were found in attitudes based on variables such as gender and whether there are family members who play musical instruments. The research highlights the contributions of music education to students cognitive and emotional development and offers recommendations for educational policies in this field. İt is believed that this study will serve as an important resource for educators and music teachers, contributing to the more effective planning of music classes.
