Investigation of suitable linkage system for bike in expansion area of Bolu

Prof. Dr. Cengiz USLUIn this study, the suitability of a linkage system for bike road trails wasinvestigated that could be a complementary element of public transport and a facilityof common recreation in expansion area of Bolu. Four bike road were determinedthat based on planed transport systems of area, which is related to natural andcultural properties. The Weighted Criteria Method? was adapted to these road trailsand the ability of linkage system design was evaluated for bike to all road trails.Furthermore, these trials were submitted to the public opinion with a questionary andtheir opinions were collected.Number 2 road trail showed higher properties with the adaption scores about97 % in terms of the criterias than the other road trails according to evaluationresults.Key words: Bike Road Trails, Bolu, Urban Plan, Landscape.II
