Abstract (EN)
Energy is one of the basic needs for mankind. With each passing century developing technology and increasing population, the demand for this basic necessity has continued to increase. When it comes to the 21st century, the energy demand has reached the maximum level. So, researchers have basically put forward two methods to meet their increasing energy need. The other is the new energy sources research and development and the other is to utilize the existing energy sources with maximum efficiency. There are many studies on new energy sources, and new information and new systems are being developed. In the same way, many studies have been done to use energy with maximum efficiency and new studies follow them. Efficient use of energy is possible through improvements in production, transmission and consumption stages. Many studies have been made on heat transfer, which is widely used especially in the production and transmission stages. Increasing the heat transfer of the energy from heat form to other forms, or vice versa, is an important influence to maximize energy efficiency. Heat transfer takes place in various forms through devices designed in different ways, in different phases. Pipe, duct, etc. are used as a means of achieving heat transfer. In addition to designing heat exchangers to increase heat transfer, it is important to increase flow turbulence. Various turbulators are installed in the components of the heat exchanger to increase the amount of turbulence in the fluid circulating in the heat exchanger. Within the scope of this thesis, it is aimed to increase the turbulence in a straight pipe and thus increase the heat transfer by increasing the dimensionless numbers. Various apparatuses have been added to the pipe for this purpose. Plain chrome bars 3-4 mm in diameter and ceramic balls 4-5 mm in diameter were placed in a 3 m long flat copper pipe 8 mm in diameter. Water was used as a fluid. The water is heated in a depot to reach a certain temperature and is pumped through the pump. Various experiments have been carried out on the system operated depending on the different flow rates and the contribution of increasing and decreasing the heat transfer of the apparatuses has been investigated.
