High chromium white cast Irons have excellent abrasive wear resisitance. For this reason, they are used widely in a lot of sectors. The most successful area for these materials is the crusher hammers. The wear of the materials used in these sectors brings high lose of money. These sectors needs harder and more wear resistance materials. High chromium-molybdenum white cast irons are the most suitable materials for these sectors. Inoculation application is very important in casting and it is used in casting process to improve the properties of materials. The purpose of inoculation is to increase the number of nucleus for proostenite or proeutectic carbides. The increase of nucleus numbers during solidification decreases the dimension of carbides, increases the amount of carbides and decreases the probability of carbide formation under solidification temperature. The inoculation concentration was changed to control the size of proeutectic and eutectic carbides, the distrubiton of M7C3 carbides. In addition it was thought to cahnage the chemical concentration of carbides by Ti and B to form more tough and hard reinforcement in microstructure.
