Abstract (EN)

With this research, it is aimed to see how women structure their help-seeking behaviors in their minds during the difficulties they experience in the post-divorce period, which can be perceived as traumatic. For this purpose, the dependency grid construction of women in the post-divorce period were examined. By examining the dependency grid construction, significant patterns in the relationship between women in the post-divorce period and their social support resources were identified. By examining the loyalty network structures, the relationship between the perceived number of social support sources and help-seeking behaviors of all women participating in the research was revealed. In addition, each woman's dependency grid construction was examined as a case analysis, and the relationship patterns between the social support sources she perceived during her perceived difficulties and the social support sources she received help were revealed. The model of the research was designed as a descriptive and embedded multiple case analysis. Instead of making statistical generalizations to the universe through case analysis, it is aimed to make theoretical propositions by making analytical generalizations. Since this purpose is in a structure that prevents the findings obtained from being generalizable (nomotetic), the research has an idiographic character focused on internal validity. In this context, an idiographic tool called the dependency grid test, which allows to examine the dependency grid test construction, was used in the research. The data collected with the dependency grid test form were evaluated with the dependency grid test test analysis methods. These analysis methods included the Index of Dispersion Dependency (DDI), Uncertainty Index (UI), Index of Dispersion Partial Order Scalogram Analysis by Coodinates (Index of Dispersion POSAC), Index of Depth Partial Order Scalogram Analysis by Coodinates (Index of Depth POSAC), and Uncertainty Coefficient (UC). As a result of the research, it was concluded that the number of social support sources perceived by these 10 female participants between the ages of 29-48 varied between 3-14. It was observed that the percentages of the dependency grid test showing the rate of these women getting help from these social support sources varied between 8.1% and 30.5%. The relationship between the perceived social support resources of these participants and the average number of social support resources they received was analyzed with the Spearman-Rho value and it was concluded that the relationship (0.55) was not statistically significant. It was concluded that perceived social support resources or dependency grid sizes did not determine help-seeking behaviors in the current participant group. This result is consistent with the fact that at the stage of filling out the form, all participants stated that they coped with some of the difficulties they perceived with their own internal resources. It has been observed that there are three different distributions (DDI, UI, Index of Dispersion POSAC) regarding the help-seeking behavior regarding the source of social support perceived by each case in the participant group. Numerical results were obtained in which each case was structured differently in these three separate distributions. Case 7 took the first place in terms of DDI scores, while Case 2 took the last place. Case 5 had the highest distribution in terms of UI scores, while Case 8 had the lowest distribution. The case with the highest Index of Dispersion POSAC values ranked first as Case 10 this time; Case 8 was in the last place. Considering the UC scores of the cases, it was seen that Case 9 ranked first in terms of Social Support (.96) - Difficulty (.61) in terms of asymmetrical relationship. Considering these values, it was concluded that Case 9 had a narrowing network structure and there was no differentiation in the network structure. The result that this narrowing in the network structure of Case 9 was strong was also seen with a symmetric relationship score (.74). When the shrinkage in the network structure of Case 9 was evaluated together with the hierarchical relationships reached by the Index of Dispersion POSAC and Index of Depth POSAC scores, it showed that the narrowing in the network structure was in a structure that left Case 9 vulnerable during the difficulties. Case 1 (.49) had the second highest score regarding the symmetrical relationship between the cases. It was observed that the asymmetric score relation of Case 1 regarding perceived difficulties (.45) and perceived social support resources (.55) was weak. The result here means that the network structure of Case 1 shows an expanding feature and there is also differentiation. When the expansion in the network structure of Case 1 was evaluated together with the hierarchical relationships reached by the Index of Dispersion POSAC and Index of Depth POSAC scores, it was shown that the expansion in the network structure strengthened Case 1 to use its resources in different ways and at different frequencies during the difficulties. When we look at the dependency grid constructions of the participant group, the number of participants with an expanding and differentiated structure is 1; the number of participants with an expanding and poorly differentiated structure is 3; The number of participants, which is expanding and moderately differentiated and with complex hierarchical relationships, is 1; the number of participants with a narrowing and poorly differentiated structure is 3; The number of participants, which is narrow and undifferentiated, can be classified as 2. These results reveal how each woman constructions the social support resources in her mind in the area of difficulty in which she needs help. Thanks to these results, it is possible to plan the reorganization of the existing mental construction in the individual in a more concrete way. It is a possible outcome that such a planning will contribute to the field of psychotherapy that targets intra-individual change. At the same time, this research has created suggestions for more extensive research that will enable reaching hierarchical relationships to create categories of mental constructions.
