The exploration of the relationship between automatic thoughts and beliefs about family and marriage of the couples who are at the divorce process

In the research the exploration of the relationship between automatic and beliefs about family and marriage of the couples who are at the divorce process is purposed.In the reseach descriptive type of survey model has been used.The samples of research has been established among the individuals ? selected by randomly sampling ? who applied in order to divorce to İzmir Judiciary Family Court. Sampling has been consisted of 180 people.In the research, ?Automatic Thoughts Questionnarie? which is developed by S.D:Hollan and P.C. Kendall, (1980) ; ?Traditional Beliefs About Marriage and The Family Questionnarie? with some of the variables developed by Sakallı ? Uğurlu (2002) , and ?Demographic Information Form? which is prepared by the reseacher in order to gather information related to the reasons of the individuals who are at the divorce process have been used.At the analysis of the obtained datas it is going to be utilized from SPSS 16,0 statistical packer program.As a result of the investigation, it is fixed that automatic thoughts can be associated with the beliefs about family and marriage.Key Words:Automatic thoughts , Tradition, Belief.
