Rehabilitation of cultural and political background of conflict in bosnia herzegovina

Cultural clashes all around the world, almost by verifying the ?clash of civilizations? thesis, shadows other factors of clash like economy, ethnology etc. In this framework, the importance of meeting of civilizations thesis increases more than ever. Turkey is an important actor in this initiative and it has to play the leading role. On the other hand, Turkey has to be more active in the areas of conflict that have been under Ottoman rule in the past like the Balkans, the Caucasians and the Middle East, as it had been in Bosnia, because of the cultural heritage. Although the Cold War has finished de facto, final arrangements and agreements have not been made that will determine the international balance of power and law after the Cold War. Looking from this perspective, ceasefires that ended the Cold War were made, yet a new and comprehensive world order which will include new power balances and final arrangements could not be established. The basic reason for the fact that the depression in the regions Bosnia Herzegovina, has not been solved but congealed is that the parameters of the new order have not been established. This study aims to present a solution for the rehabilitation of the background of cultural and political conflict in Bosnia-Herzegovina where is a potential conflict area since no definite solution aroused after the Dayton agreement which was signed after a systematical genocide was applied to the Muslim Bosnians during the fragmentation of the former Yugoslavia. During the research made for the thesis, the conflict area of Bosnia has been taken as the problem and the hypothesis is that protection of Turkish culture through international participation and stability in the region will contribute to the rehabilitation of the area. Also, under the hypothesis, estimations have been made for which observations and data have been expected. Observations and research were made and data were collected through a planned and methodological study. It is claimed that Turkey has to support in general the Balkans and especially Bosnia Herzegovina culturally and politically.
