Production planning and optimization in dyeing finishing plant

Production planning is the most important function in managing production in a textile plant. The production planning in Dyeing-Finishig plant has a special importance. In yarn and textile weave, the capacity increase in production can be easily provided by contract manufacturing (outsource) but same is not possible in dyeing-finishing. With respect to achieving some properties for the fabric such as width, weight in gram, color, touching, etc. every firm wants to carry out finishing of their own fabrics in their plants. In this study, based on medium and short term planning, providing optimum production amount was aimed and the result was obtained with the linear programming method by maximizing the profit from selling Textile Dyeing-Finishing Firm. Furthermore it was proved that textile firms are more suitable for variable demands and the cost and time was calculated by simulation method according to different fabric types under variable demand.
