Abstract (EN)

In recent years survivals of premature infants are increased because of the medicine techniques and treatments in newborn intensive care unit get better. Nevertheless bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) frequencies are increased. However the markers that direct the treatments are not defined yet. In this study the relationships between clara cell secretory protein (CC16), transforming growth factor beta-1 (TGF-ß1), caspase-3, caspase-8 and caspase-9 levels are investigated. In this study, bronchoalveolary lavage and plasma specimens are taken at 1st, 3rd, 14th and 28th days in premature infants who are intubeded and born under 32nd gestational weeks, 41 cases are included into this study (21 cases had BPD, 20 cases in control group).Clara cell secretory protein levels are found higher in BPD group than control group in all times. The difference between 14th and 28th days are found significant statistically (p<0.05). Transforming growth factor beta-1 levels are found higher in BPD group than control group at 1st and 3th days (p<0.05). Caspase levels are found same in patient group and control group at 1st day. But in 3rd day caspase levels are found higher in BPD group and there is a statistical significance (p<0.05).Clara cell secretory protein and TGF-ß1 levels are found higher in all groups. Apoptosis that plays role in the development of BPD is increased especially in extrinsic pathway. Finally, we found that CC16 and TGF-ß1 and caspase levels can determine in formation of BPD and can be useful in development of new treatment methods.
