Özet (EN)
The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of the guided imagination in accompanied with music during the bronchoscopy on the patient's pulse, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and satisfaction, as well as the operational success. The study was conducted in a randomized controlled and experimental design with patients who had bronchoscopy indication were considered by the physician as appropriate. Before initiating the study, written approvals were obtained from the institution, ethics committee, and patients. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 60 patients including 30 people in each group (α=0.05, 1-β=0.80). Those meeting the inclusion criteria of the study were randomized by using a simple random sampling method and divided into intervention group and control group. Visual Analog Scala/VAS was used in order to evaluate on patient satisfaction and operational success. The guided imagination accompanied with music for a total of 15 minutes starting five minutes before the bronchoscopy and continuing during the operation was applied to intervention group. The blood pressure, pulse, breath rate, and saturation of all the patients were recorded every five minutes before and during the operation. The obtained data were analyzed through student T, Mann Whitney U, and repeated measures analysis of variance. It was found that compared to the control group, the intervention group had a slight increase in systolic(p<0.05) and diastolic blood pressure during and at the end of operation, and the increasing pulse and saturation values decreased during the operation. In the control group, there was a higher increase in systolic and diastolic blood pressures during the operation and similarly, the pulse and breath rate increased and the saturation value decreased compared to the intervention group. It was found that the patients in the intervention group experienced less nausea during the operation (p<0.05), the operation lasted for a short time, and had higher satisfaction from satisfaction (p>0.05) The results of this study indicate that the guided imagination accompanied with music during the bronchoscopy contributed positively to the patient outcomes and can be administered safely.
