Özet (EN)

This study was carried out with the aim of using the leaf and root extracts of male and female individuals of Pistacia khinjuk stocks (Bıttım) in the biosynthesis of AgNPs and to investigate the biosynthesis performance differences between them. The formation of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesized at the ratio of 1:9 plant extract to metal ion concentration was monitored by surface Plasmon resonance between 400 and 500 nm UV-Vis spectrophotometrically. characterization of nanoparticles was made by Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Zeta potential measurement and particle size distribution (Zetasizer), Fourier Transmission infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Energy Distribution Spectrum (EDX). It has been determined that male root silver nanoparticles (EK-AgNPs) have an agglomerate size of approximately 150,1 nm and a potential of -32,16±0,543 mV, and female root silver nanoparticles (DK-AgNPs) have an agglomerate size of 213,5 nm and a potential of -21,36±0,188 mV. It has been determined that EK-AgNPs have better stability and agglomeration than DK-AgNPs. Female leaf silver nanoparticles (DY AgNPs )have an agglomerate size of 213,8 nm and a potential of -16,3±0,408 mV and male leaf silver nanoparticles (EY-AgNPs) have an agglomerate size of 488,3 nm and a potential of -15,7±1,019 mV and DY-AgNPs showed better stability and agglomeration size than EY-AgNP. All of the Silver nanoparticles synthesized from the roots and leaves of female and male individuals showed good antimicrobial activity against the clinically important pathogens Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.
