Abstract (EN)

Biotic and abiotic stressors cause significant product losses in various plants and adversely affect human and animal nutrition. Drought is one of the most known abiotic stress factors. When the usable areas in the world are classified according to stress factors, drought stress, which is a natural stress factor, contains the largest tranche with a share of 26%. The development of the drought-resistant mechanism in plants is a very complex and long-term process. Therefore, some molecular, biochemical, physiological and morphological characters of the plant show significant relationships under different environmental conditions. In the environment where plants are grown, there are many factors affecting the resistance of the drought. This makes plant difficult to develop drought-resistant genotypes. Molecular, physiological and biochemical systems in plants constitute the complex structure in terms of drought resistance. The interactions and interactions between these systems under drought conditions make further complicate the structure. In this thesis, the expression levels of some transposon genes that have a significant effects on gene function and genome were measured by q-RT PCR in wheat varieties (Gün91, Bezostaja). This results were compared to some physio-biochemical parameters such as chlorophyll, glutathione reductase, leaf water content, dry and wet weight which important for plant growth. Therefore, the molecular physiological responses of different wheat varieties against drought stress have been demonstrated in this study. As a result, with this thesis, new literature informations about the molecular and physico-biochemical changes developed by the wheat under drought stress has been gained.
