Abstract (EN)
Purpose: In order to perform this operation; The surface roughness and color change of composites showing the chameleon effect can be evaluated after the use of different polishing techniques and aging methods. Materials and Methods: 4 different composites were used for this success. These composites; of single color monoshade universal composite systems Essentia Universal Shade (GC Corp, Tokyo, Japan), Omnichroma (Tokuyama Dental Corp, Tokyo, Japan), Optishade (Kerr, Scafaty, Italy) and Estelite Sigma Quick as control group (Tokuyama Dental, Tokyo, Japan). A total of 288 disk-shaped samples with a diameter of 8 mm and a thickness of 2 mm were used in our study (n = 8). Samples are divided into subgroups according to polishing and aging methods. Restorative materials were placed in a Teflon mold and polymerized. Diamond finishing bur with yellow belt for polishing (control group),While Onegloss (Shofu), Opti1Step (Kerr) were used, artificial gloss, coffee and cola were used for aging purposes. Color (EasyShade, MHT Optic Research, Switzerland) and surface roughness measurements (Surtronic 25, Taylor Hobson, Leicester, UK) were made twice, before and after aging. The upper surfaces of the samples were analyzed by SEM before and after aging. Consistent analyzes of the data were performed using the SPSS program (SPSS Inc, IBM Corp, IL, USA). Results: Four different restorative materials are used in these products, and one of them is the control group, while the others have a chameleon effect. It was observed that these restorative treatment methods showed changes in both color and roughness as a result of exposure to different polishing methods and aging at different temperatures and there was a significant difference between these values (p < 0.05). The least color change is observed in Estelite Sigma Quick class (ΔE= 2,494), the highest color change is in the Essentia group (ΔE= 3.317) was observed. If evaluated in terms of surface roughness, the highest surface roughness change is in the Essentia composite group (ΔRa= 0.1), the least surface roughness change is Estelite Sigma Quick (ΔRa= -0.01) category was followed. Among the polishing groups, artificial vomiting and least color change after waiting in coffee and cola are Onegloss (ΔE= 2.77) group, the highest color change was observed in Opti1step. Surface roughness is the least controlled (ΔRa= 0.043)In the group, the most Opti1 step (It was observed at ΔRa= 0.072). When the solutions used in aging are evaluated, the color change is greatest in coffee (ΔE= 3.585) was observed, while the least was observed in artificial saliva (ΔE= 2.141) was observed. The surface roughness change is highest in coffee (ΔRa= 0.089), at least in artificial saliva (ΔRa= 0.04)has been observed. Conclusion: The thesis we did According to the process of our study, the characteristics of the repairs can be found in aesthetics, color and surface roughness, the quality of the composite material, the polishing methods used and the temperature of the solutions in which the composites are kept.
