Abstract (EN)
This thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter is introduction chapter. In this chapter, almost convergence, σ-convergence and statistical σ-convergence for sequences of real numbers are mentioned. Then, studies on statistical convergence of sequences of fuzzy numbers are summarized. In the second chapter, basic and necessary definitions and theorems for this work are given. Basic consepts of fuzzy numbers and sequences of fuzzy numbers are presented. The concepts of convergence and statistical convergence defined for sequences of fuzzy numbers are given. The concepts of statistical convergence of sequences of fuzzy number valued functions are presented. In the third chapter, original results of the thesis are given. In this chapter we define the concept of statistical σ-convergence for sequences of fuzzy number valued functions and properties of this type of convergence are investigated. Then, fuzzy Korovkin type approximation theorems are proved by means of statistical σ-convergence.
