Machine equipment selection using fuzzy based multi criteria decision making methods

Özet (EN)

Machine selection is a very important decision in production enterprises in order to ensure the continuity and profitability of the enterprise. Especially, when machine selection criteria are complex, it is more difficult for businesses to make a decision. In this case, businesses need to analyze the alternatives very well in order to make the right decision. This study was carried out by taking into account the evaluations of a group of decision makers consisting of senior managers of an enterprise operating in the plastic injection sector. As a result of the interviews with the decision-making team, the plastic injection machine selection criteria were determined. In order to evaluate verbal expressions in human judgments, fuzzy TOPSIS and fuzzy VIKOR methods were applied. Determined plastic injection machine alternatives; It was created not only according to stereotyped criteria such as cost and technical features, but also by taking into account the criteria of safety, reliability and environmental friendliness, which will overlap with business needs. The created criteria and alternatively determined machine types were evaluated separately by the determined decision makers with the help of linguistic expressions. Verbal evaluations were digitized using triangular and trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. Machine alternatives were evaluated by group decision by applying fuzzy TOPSIS and fuzzy VIKOR methods, and the results were compared.
