Abstract (EN)
Toxoplasmosis is a protozoan zoonotic disease that is widespread throughout the world. The fact that the parasite is able to infect humans and is endemic to all warmblooded creatures is of great importance for the prevalence of the disease. The fact that the cat, the last host, is in close contact with human populations is a very effective factor in the spread of the disease. This study was conducted to determine the seroprevalence of Toxoplasma gondii in cats living in Burdur city center. In the study, serum samples were taken from 200 household and street-related cats and T cells were collected with a rapid antibody test kit. The seropositivity of gondii has been determined. According to the test results, 11 out of 200 cats of different ages and sex housed at home or in relation to the street were T. he was positive for gondii antibodies. This study was conducted in Burdur Province, Turkey. it has shown that more scientific data are needed in terms of gondii. Key Word: Cat, seroprevalance, Toxoplasma gondii
