Abstract (EN)
Within the scope of this study, 294 arrowheads belonging to Iron Age in Burdur Museum were investigated and a typology of the arrowheads consisting of 32 subtypes was formed. Thanks to the new typology, the categorization of the arrowheads to distinct types is fairly simplified. The new typology was formed involving not only the arrowheads studied in this thesis, but also all the Iron Age arrowheads as the occasion arises. By comparing the arrowheads divided into types with similar figures in the literature, important data have been obtained about the dating and origins of the arrowheads, so that the Iron Age Arrowhead distribution of Anatolia is enlightened a little more both numerically and typologically. In addition, for the better understanding of the arrowheads, this study addresses the history of the bow and arrowheads briefly, gives information about the oldest bow, arrow and arrowhead findings of the prehistoric period and mentions the arrows and arrowheads used in the Iron Age and before.
