economical advantages for rottengrounds. These foundations are produced as prefabricated reinforced concrete piles andapplied to the ground by the torsinal moment. By this way, noise and the structural cracks dueto the vibration of soil during the driving of pile with a hammer, are prevented. The helicalcogs at the outer surface of the piles increase the surface area and improve the load bearingcapacity. Ring sectional design, decreases the amount of material used and supply moreeconomical advantages.Load bearing capacity of circular and ring sectional reinforced concrete screw piles fordifferent diameter and lengths, are given as tables.Also, a research is made for quality and performance of concrete due to the importance ofconcrete of screw pile foundations. In this experimental research on performance of concrete,three different concrete classes, three different steel fiber volumes and two different steelfibers were used. And three reference concrete samples without any steel fibers were preparedto compare each other. Compressive strength of these concrete samples are investigated.As result, design and calculation principles are given and a calculation program to determineload bearing capacity, twist force and torsinal moment is done in Microsoft Access and areinforcement calculation of a Screw Pile is done as an example.Key words: Screw Pile Foundation, Ring Section, Driving of Pile With a Hammer, SoilVibration, Torsional Moment, Load Bearing Capacity of Piles, Compressive Strength ofConcrete.JURY:1- Doç.
