رسالة شريفة في الكلام على آيتي الوضوء والتيمم لبرهان الدين المأموني(القسم الثالث: آية الماء) (دراسةً وتحقيقاً)

This thesis aimed to study and verify a book by Ibrahim bin Muhammad Burhan al-Din al-Ma'mouni (d. 1079 AH) called it "Risala Sharifah Ala Ayatai Al-Wudua Wa Al-Tayammum". İn this book the author dealt with the interpretation of two parts of two verses that talk about water and were mentioned in al-Furqan sura. This study is determined by the investigation of the third section which is the sign of water. The importance of this letter comes because of the various jurisprudential rulings it contained that benefit scholars and students. His aim is to explain the rulings related to water in these two verses in detail, as it presents everything that the research and scientific context of the noble verse leads to. This study relied on the copy of the Feizullah Effendi Library in Istanbul, and it was matched with the copy of Agha Yusuf in Konya. The study followed the historical descriptive approach when translating Al-Ma'mouni and his scientific biography, and the method of investigation and commentary in the investigated text. The conclusions o the study were that Al-Ma'mouni was concerned with presenting the sayings and opinions of jurisprudence, fundamentalism and belief, regardless of their diversity and differences, in fairness without bias. Al-Ma'mouni also made many hypothetical formulas in his treatise, such as his saying: If he said, we say, and if they said, we say, which indicates the dialectical nature and his ability to argue verbally. He cared about the statement of the rhetorical miracle of the Holy Qur'an, and relied in his footnotes on the interpretations of Al-Baydawi and Al-Zamakhshari, and they were his most prominent sources. Al-Ma'mouni also relied in language and grammar on the later ones more than the earlier ones, such as Ibn Hisham and Al-Damamini. As for his sources in jurisprudence and its origins: al-Ghunyah by al-Muzni from the Shafi'i school, al-Quduri from the Hanafi school, al-Aamidi, al-Izz ibn Abd al-Salam, al-Zarkashi, Ibn Arafa, and other famous jurists. The author's knowledge of the fundamentals of the science of rhetoric, his knowledge of its subtleties, and his knowledge of its literature, which indicates his scientific personality and the abundance of his knowledge in different sciences.
