Abstract (EN)

Through the Strengthening Vocational Training and Education System Project, programs in all vocational high schools have been reconstructed according to the modular system by the Ministry of National Education and the modular educationsystem has been implemented in all vocational high schools starting by the 2006 ? 2007 academic year.This study aims to evaluate the Office Management and Secretaryship modular program in Commerce Vocational High Schools from the teachers? points of view. Data was collected by questionnaire developed according to 5 likert scale and applied on 115 teachers who works in the central districts of Ankara city. To analyze the data, t- test for independent samples was used in comparing two groups where as ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis tests were used for comparing 3 or more groups and Chi-Square test was used for comparing categorical data.It was determined that the teachers graduated from the Faculty of Commerce and Tourism Education who are satisfied with modular educational system, who attended an in service training formerly and whose field is Office Management and Secretaryshipexpressed more positive views. Related to the content of the program, they had less positive views. The participants on the average consider that the content of the programis not exactly satisfactory to cope with sectional needs and does not ensure the attainment of the competencies what the given field requires.
