Abstract (EN)
This research was carried out with the aim of determining the fertility status of the corn cultivated land (Yolağzı region) Karacabey-Bursa district. For this purpose, 40 soil samples were taken and analyzes were done. Results of soil analysis samples were compared with limit values. According to the results, 42.5% of the soil samples were found to have a "sandy loam" and 52.5% a "sandy clay loam" structure. All of the soils are in salt-free and good or sufficient class in terms of N content. Soil pH varies between 6.77 and 8.70. The lime content of the soil samples is low or medium level. 97.5% of soil organic matter is very low, 75% of P is very low and medium, In 15%, the risk of Fe deficiency was high and medium, in 2.5%, Mn and Zn very low and, Cu were found to be insufficient. In fertilization applications, analysis based fertilization should be done by using modern techniques instead of traditional methods. In addition, it has been observed that the importance of especially organic fertilizer applications is very important for the future of corn production.
