Evaluation of Turkish and calculation techniques in Bursa Embroidery Handicrafts Museum

In this study; 21 pieces of Turkish work and 19 pieces of original works that were studied with the calculus technique in the Embroidery Handicrafts Museum in Bursa were included in the research. 40 original works in Bursa Embroidery Handicrafts Museum were identified and their photographs were taken. Within the scope of the research, by making a literature review; The historical development, geographical location, economic situation, cultural structure, arts, handicrafts, embroidery, history of embroidery, museum and museology, Turkish business and accounting business and general characteristics of Bursa were investigated. The features of the works identified in the direction of the prepared information forms were examined and documented. In line with the data obtained as a result of the examination, the type, size, materials used, technique, color, motif, composition features of the Turkish work and Calculation work technique in Bursa province Embroidery Handicrafts Museum and the current status of the works were determined. Most of the works, which were processed with Turkish work and calculation technique, consist of napkins and kerchiefs. According to the types of the works, cotton weaving, linen weaving and other fabrics were used. It is seen that in needle techniques, straight pesent needle, oblique pesent needle and eyelet technique are generally used, as well as mushabak, wrapping, herringbone needle techniques are preferred. Gold, light oil green, light blue, light pink, dark oil green, turquoise, lilac were preferred for embroideries. In most of the embroideries, plant and object decorations were preferred. In the vast majority of them, neatly ordered and linked-ordered compositions are preferred.
