Analysis of the Bursalı İffet Divan

Mehmet Emin Efendi, one of the leading scholars of his time, reached the rank of professor with his intelligence, ability and effort. Along with his scientific activities, he also dealt with poetry. He came to the fore with his poetry. He became one of the important poets of the 19th century. He was known as Bursalı İffet because he used the pen name İffet. In this study, the analysis of the Bursali Chastity Divan was made. When we examined the Bursalı chastity Court, it was found that it has a rich content in terms of analysis work. Academic studies related to different court analysis were examined. After the examined academic studies, a study method was determined for the analysis of the Bursalı chastity Court. Accordingly, court readings were conducted. By using the scanning and filing method of the Divan, many concepts and phrases were selected and the writing process was started. The analysis studies of the Bursalı chastity Court were examined under five main sections. These are religion, Sufism, man, social life, as well as material culture and nature. Each section was divided into subheadings and discussed in detail. Concepts were explained, sample couplets were presented, and attempts were made to enter the world of meaning of couplets.
