Abstract (EN)

In the thesis study, butane and butene skeletonized tetracarboxylic acids as anionic ligands; 5,5'-(butan-1,4-diylbis(oxy))dibenzene-1,3-dicarboxylic acid (H4L1) and 5,5'-(2-butene-1,4-diylbis(oxy))dibenzene- 1,3-dicarboxylic acid (H4L2), and as neutral ligands, substituted bis(imidazole) derivatives; 1,4-bis((2-methyl-1H-imidazole-1-yl)methyl)benzene (pbmeimb), 1,4-bis((2-ethyl-1H-imidazole-1-yl)methyl)benzene (pbetimb), 1,4-bis((2-isopropyl-1H-imidazole-1-yl)methyl)benzene (pbisopimb) organic structures have been preferred. Furthermore, cobalt(II) and zinc(II) metal ions utilized as metal center. Thus, six coordination polymers with 3D structure obtained. ATR/FT-IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis and single crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) analysis methods performed for structural characterization. Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) method is also performed in order to determine phase purity of complexes. Moreover, the optic, luminescence and thermal properties examined. Closed formulas of the obtained coordination polymers [Co2(µ4-L1)(µ-pbetimb)2]n (SS1), [Zn2(µ4-L1)(µ-pbmeimb)2]n (SS2), [Zn2(µ4-L1)(µ-pbetimb)2]n (SS3), [Co2 (μ4-L2)(µ-pbetimb)2]n (SS4), {[Zn2(µ4-L2)(µ-pbetimb)(DEF)2]∙2H2O}n (SS5) and [Zn2(μ4-L2)(μ-pbisopimb)(DMF)2]n (SS6). According to SCXRD analysis results SS1 , SS2 , SS3 , SS4 and SS6 complexes were crystallized in the monoclinic system, the SS5 complex was found to crystallize in the orthorhombic system. When the topological properties of the complexes are examined, SS1 - SS4 complexes have a new topology with {86} point group, SS5 complex has bbf/Pmna and SS6 complex has gwg topology. SS1 - SS4 complexes have a single 3D lattice structure, while the SS5 and SS6 complexes have three-fold interpenetrated 3D+3D+3D=3D lattice structures. According to the photoluminescence analysis results, a blue shift was observed in the emission bands of the complexes compared to H4L1 and H4L2. In thermal analysis studies, in general, in all complexes, aqua ligands or crystal water molecules were removed from the structures in the first step, while neutral ligands and L1, L2 anionic ligands were removed in the other steps. The final degradation products were determined to be cobalt and zinc oxides. In optical studies with diffuse reflection spectroscopy, it has been determined that all complexes can show semiconductor properties.
