Analysis and evaluation of effects of spring festival at Çukurova University amphitheatre on Balcalı Hospital

In this study, the effect of the noise pollution originated from spring fest that performed in the amphi-theatre to the Balcali Hospital, both of them are located in the Cukurova University central campus, was analyzed and evaluated. The noise map was constituted in order to evaluate the negative effects of the elevated sound that emitted during the spring fest on the patients treating in the hospital. SoundPLAN software was used to create noise maps which is largely take place in the members of the European Union to determine the effects of the noise emitted from different sources including airport, highway, industry, and entertainment. The noise map was considered to determine the effects of the noise pollution and the potential measures to reduce the emitted sounds. The purpose of this study is determining the current noise sources in Cukurova University Cenrtal Campus and measuring the pollution caused by these sources and discovering the dense points by preparing the maps of the pollution.
