Descriptions of the changing art from one age to another and its meaning in Seljuk

A state always has been survived about `?What is art??? The disciplines we already there that we named from the exist of man. Man analised the nature with his mind and senses, and stated to create some kinds of orders to show himself in god1. Today this survey of the man is still being followed. The aim of this study can be said to investigate the descriptions of the chancing Art from one age to another and describe the Meaning in Seljuk and in this way add a new dimension to the states about `?what is art???. Content of this study was criticised in three parts: a) Investigation of changeability of the description of art and the reasons of why it is always being stated. b) Investigations of Turkish Identity in Seljuk Works of Art, Anatolian Territory by using the Art Descriptions and statements. c) Describing the Arts of Seljuk Age in a way that `?what is art today??? While the aims of this study were investigating except the literature scan, a text was created which showed the investigation of human history chronologically and the development about art in Anatolian Territory. However, Seljuk age was investigated as a `?sample age?? to show the Turkish Identity of the art in Anatolian Territory. There are two reasons about preferring the Seljuk works of art. First one is that Seljuk analised the esthetic works, histories and likes of the nations who lived in Anatolian Territory. They created a new kind of art with a spirit came from Eastern nations. Second one, covered the Asian, Anatolian and Islamic cultures. Whit the transfers between these cultures great works were became. Among these works Divriği, Ulu Djami and Kubad Abad House tiles; were investigated specially about Seljuk stoneworks, Seljuk tiles and paints and it was described that the meaning of Art in Seljuk. Whit this study, art shows that the reasons of its changeable descriptions whit the datas what exists from it. And there is a short explanation in the study about `?what is art??? and its results. If we determine the dominance of the art in the struggle of the nations about identity, The Turkish Identity become more imported is Anatolian Territory.
