Abstract (EN)

Ekrem Yiğit Türüdü / Master Thesis, Düzce, 2021 In the first chapter, ecology and its subheading symbiotic life forms, definitions and terms of them will be explained within the scope of the thesis. In this context, with reference to the basis of harmony of living things with each other and their environment, human harmony with its environment will be elaborated on urban life basis and also will be discussed with urban theories and ecology references. It aims to focus on economic benefit-based forms of production, the human model that it transforms with acculturation of consumption, and the artificialization of what human learns from nature with a corrupt percept. In this context, the effects of technological developments on social, political and urban life will be examined on the basis of audience composition strategies of new media tools; and the proposals for creating an artificial public space and social environment in current urban life will be reviewed. In the second chapter, liberation movements starting from the Romantic period will be discussed in the contexts of artificiality and naturalness with variables related to technological, sociological, political and economic developments, with a chronology review with art history content. In this context, interdisciplinary studies on contemporary art will be examined through visual examples and their indicators will be explained. In the third chapter, discussions will be held on the institutional history of contemporary art, museology, collecting, alternative forms of production, ecosystem of collective and sustainable art; the subject will be examined in the contexts of art work, artist and art industry. In the conclusion chapter, my individual and collective productions occuring with urban-based, ecology-based and technology-based research; the activities I have participated in during the course of my master's degree education, and the works I have put forth will be explained through sample visuals.
