Abstract (EN)
The concepts of museum and museology have been keeping up with the times and have become self-improving, extraverted and comprehensive day by day and. Such that the museums have overflowed stabile, closed-in places and reached people living miles away by taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the technology to the full extent. They were able to spread their values without giving up the "protection" motive which is one of their main goals. In this regard, in the first part of the thesis, the conceptual evolution that the museum has undergone and the phases that it has gone through within the context of contemporary museums in Turkey and the world are discussed. In the second part, the monuments belonging to Roman, Seljuk and Ottoman periods in Antalya Kaleiçi, which is an important cultural asset of our country and is considered as an open-air museum beyond the indoor space in compliance with the new perception of museology, are identified. If not all, most of them are introduced by benefiting from academic literature. In the third and last part, the transition stages of these places from Kaleiçi to mobile application phase are discussed. In this way, the main goal of the thesis is to create website www.kaleiciguide.com, a complete guide that includes the monuments belonging to Roman, Seljuk and Ottoman periods in Kaleiçi and to move this platform to mobile application. Thus, the aim is to create awareness of to whom and which period these selected monuments that has been classified according to the mentioned periods belong to, to draw attention to them, arouse curiosity about them and to protect these spaces even if indirectly.
