Abstract (EN)
This research aims to develop a posthumanist understanding of art for the purpose of envisioning a future. In order to think outside the box of dualities, it explores corporeality, species and intergender through contemporary art. It sees queering as a part of posthuman future. While seeking answers to many questions, the central question is always: "Which lives are worth mourning?" This research traces carnophallogocentric perspective in the field of contemporary art and theorizes how it is erased or can be erased by putting queer theory and animal studies into a dialogue. In its center, it puts the contemporary art pieces, taken from 2000's onwards progressing in parallel with the development of cultural theories that stripped themselves of the dominant subject in the 20-year period. It examines the art pieces which include dead body parts that are ghosts of the past with a critical and transformative discourse and attempts to shape the understanding that artistic production should develop around affirmative ethics. It organizes itself as Critical-Post Humanities. Therefore, through the art pieces that adopt posthumanist ethics, it builds the future in today's art. While tracing the carnophallogocentric dominant subject in contemporary arts, it dismantles it and aims at exploring new ways.
