Abstract (EN)
In this study, we search the denominal suffix at Modern Turkish Language, verbs made from these denominal suffixes and the meanings of these verbs; to see how these structures are tought at the Turkish grammar lessons at primary schools.First of all, general information about verb is tought, then identification, meaning, structure, formation of verb is explained in details.Derived forms of verbs in Modern Turkish are found by clarifying and tagging method from Turkish Dictionaries of Turkish Language İnstitution and Language Association and also from the spelling Guide of Turkish Language İnstitution.In our search, we found 27 denominal suffixes which forms of verbs from nouns. 11 denominal suffixes of 27 are common and 16 of 27 are semi-common. We also found 60 denominal suffixes which forms of verbs from verbs? meanings and structures are given, lists are formed about works which are derived from suffixes and also usages of these verbs at literary works are fixed. Words derived by these denominal suffixes are categorized in two parts as common and semi-common denominal suffixes according to the numbers of works they form.We also search the suffixes according to the meanings they add to the verb. We evaluate the relation between the main meaning of the verb and the new meaning of the derived verb.As a result of this, we explained the wrong usages and wrong derived verbs.Turkish dictionaries are also analyzed. From the result of this analyze, we explain how to make dictonaries better and more efficient.We study the Primary School Turkish Lesson curriculum to see how derived verbs are explained at schools. We make searches how to teach grammar, especially ?verbs? more effective at schoolls. We make searches how to make students understand derived verbs better.We interview the Turkish teachers to learn their ideas about how to teach grammar more effective at schools.
