Abstract (EN)

Preschool period is a critical phase for chilren for their current situation and for their future as well.Children realize the language development in this period. Acoording to investigation results, it is quite hard to improve language skills for children who have not completed their development in preschool period. Therefore it is obvious that language skills of children are directly related with enviroment of children, quality of preschool instutions and education level of parents.We also should take into consideration of mothers for continous of language skill improvement.Since conditions in life are getting more difficult day by day, role of woman in society is chaning as well.As womans take place in working life more and more, they are expanding their perspective by getting rid of classical housewife conception.The purpose of this thesis is comparing the differences of the language improvement skills of preschool children of age 5-6 between of whom mothers are employed and not.Preschool children in 11 primary schools, taken randomly by sample method in Istanbul Anatolian side, is considered a basis for the investigation during 2007-2008 academic year.During investigation, number of 200 children of whom mothers are employed and not employed were applied Language Usage Testing Criteria and Marmara Development Criteria.Tolerance number of results has been taken minimum 0,05.Results which are on 0,01 level are shown on table seperately.After combining of outputs of investigation it?s been noticed that the language skills development of children who have employed mothers are different from the other ones.Key Words : Employed ?
