Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate how the organizational citizenship behavior (civic virtue, altruism, courtesy, sportmanship and conscientiousness) and motivation (intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation) affect intention to quit and job satisfaction of employees. In the first part of the thesis, theoretical foundations and literature background were introduced. In the second part, results of the empirical study and discussion was given. The empirical study embraces of 140 architects in the architectural offices around Istanbul. Survey questions include items about demographic characteristics, organizational citizenship behavior, motivation, intention to leave and job satisfaction. The survey results obtained from the field study have been processed via SPSS IBM 20.0 software program. Findings indicate that there is relationship between the subscales of organizational citizenship behaviors which are civic virtue, conscientiousness and courtesy and intention of leave. Furthermore, there has been found significant relationship between civic virtue and conscientiousness and job satisfaction. However, not having any correlation between subscales of motivation and intention to leave is considered to be another important result of the research. Findings reveal that there is significant association between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and job satisfaction Finally, there has been found significant relationship between intention to leave and job satisfaction.
