Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine employees' preferences for flexible and hybrid work models and to identify their perceptions of these work arrangements. The research was conducted using data collected through a survey from 209 employees working in the public and private sectors in Ankara. The data collection process included a demographic information form, a work model preference form, and a scale measuring attitudes toward flexible work. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 22 software package, and appropriate statistical methods were applied based on the distributional characteristics of the data. The findings of the study indicate that employees generally hold positive attitudes toward flexible and hybrid work models. An analysis of work model preferences reveals that the hybrid work model is the most preferred option among participants. The hybrid model stands out as it enables the maintenance of organizational interaction provided by face-to-face work while also allowing employees to benefit from the flexibility offered by remote working arrangements.Flexible and hybrid work arrangements were found to be advantageous in terms of time management, work–life balance, and employees' ability to focus on their work. However, a limited number of participants expressed concerns regarding the potential negative effects of flexible work practices on career advancement, organizational commitment, and workplace communication. Although limited differences were observed in attitudes toward flexible work based on certain variables, the overall tendency indicates a positive approach toward flexible and hybrid work models. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that flexible and hybrid work models positively influence employee satisfaction, perceived performance, and work–life balance. Accordingly, the findings suggest that organizations should consider flexible and hybrid work arrangements as a strategic human resource management practice that aligns with employee expectations and the dynamics of contemporary working life.
