Abstract (EN)

This thesis focuses on the personnel working in courthouses; to determine the position of the judiciary in our lives, the duties and responsibilities of the personnel employed in the courthouse and the structural and physical structures of the courthouses, to measure the satisfaction levels of the employees of a courthouse in Istanbul and to examine the link between their demographic characteristics and their satisfaction levels. Justice services are the basis of the social, economic and political policies of a country. For this reason, efficient, effective, accessible and timely delivery of the services in the courthouses can only be possible if sufficient manpower is working with high motivation and satisfied with the work. Employees working in an organization whose motivation level is low, working conditions do not appeal to the employee and many such negative situations are encountered cannot be effective and efficient. To do this, managers should set priorities to keep the morale and motivation of the employees at the highest level; For this purpose, the demands and requirements of the employees must be determined accurately and clearly. The aim of this study is to determine the negativities experienced by the judicial workers in their working lives and to offer solutions in order to increase the satisfaction levels of the judiciary workers and thus increase the efficiency in the courthouses. The questionnaire was used as data collection tool in the research conducted with 157 people from the courthouse. Questions measuring corporate satisfaction; work environment and conditions, business management, communication, employee awareness, competence / training / career development and management approach. The Cronbachis alpha coefficient was found to be 0,978 as a result of the reliability analysis of the scale which was evaluated in five likert type. As a result of the research, the factors affecting the satisfaction levels of the judicial workers were gathered under 6 main headings. These factors are; (1) Work environment and conditions, (2) Business management, (3) Communication, (4) Employee awareness, (5) Competence, training and career development, (6) Management approach. In this study, the satisfaction levels were evaluated from the highest to the lowest and the satisfaction levels of the factors were listed as follows: Communication (3,035), business management (3,0048), employee awareness (2,9738), management understanding (2,6867), working environment and conditions (2,6016), competence-education-career development (2,3638).
