Examination of the relationship between employee loyalty to the profession and general health conditions and life satisfaction

The aim of this study is to examine the professional commitment, life satisfaction and general health status of classroom teachers. It is believed that by examining the relationship between the concepts discussed in the study, it will benefit theorists and practitioners working in the field. This study contributes to the field by examining the relationship between individual life satisfaction of the lower dimensions of professional commitment that were not previously studied in the summer. Another contribution of the study is to examine the relationship between professional commitment, life satisfaction and general health within a model. In this study, classroom teachers contribute to the field by revealing the relationship between life satisfaction and general health variables, along with the dimensions of professional emotional commitment, professional attendance commitment and professional normative commitment, which are the lower dimensions of professional commitment. Data in the study was collected through a survey from classroom teachers working in Muratpaşa, Konyaaltı and Kepez districts in Antalya province. In addition to demographic questions, the survey included questions about life satisfaction, professional commitment and general health conditions. In the analysis of the data, analyses of the research were made using SPSS and LISRELL programs. The research model reveals the relationship between life satisfaction States and general health States, which are one of the lower dimensions of professional commitment; along with professional emotional commitment, professional attendance commitment and professional normative commitment. Looking at the relationships between the variables of the structural model, occupational emotional commitment and occupational attendance commitment affect life satisfaction, while life satisfaction also affects general health conditions. In light of these relationships, recommendations have been made to academics and practitioners working in the relevant field.
