Abstract (EN)

For a long time, organizational commitment has been subject of many research articles in relation with organizational productivity. It has been reported that commitment to organization increases employee' performance and productivity of organization. In addition to these factors, the relationship and effect of many others variables on organizational commitment has been well studied. In this research, the relationship between organizational commitment and perceived work security has been investigated. The sample of the study consists of 120 employees who works in Gebze Organizational Industrial Zone. Organizational Commitment Scale developed by Meyer and Allen, Work Security Scale developed by Williamson et.all and Demographic Information Form was applied to all participants. According to the results of the statistical analyses, organizational commitment was found positively related to perceived work security. All of the subscales of the organizational commitment was found in positive relation with perceived work security as well. Lastly, organizational commitment was found affected by gender and educational level of employees, whereas perceived work security was only found affected by having subordinate employees.
