Flexibility in professional life?an applied study

Today?s conditions caused the global and the international competition and the Professional life to be reshaped. The studies performed in the industrialized countries relating to the Professional life and the workers? conformity to it have accelerated and become more comprehensive. The globalization in the world caused the basis fort he free movement of the capital as well as provision of services. Thus, there are flexible systems within the Professional life just like in many other fields. The employment issues created by the increased unemployment due to the globalization caused differences to arise among the workers? social lives and the business lives. In this study, we shall analyze the flexible working conceptual and explain the place of flexible working in Professional life and its possible effects on the worker and the employer. The thesis consists of seven sections. In the first section, the information about the conceptual dimensions of the flexibility was provided and in the second section, the theories regarding flexibility were considered and their common grounds were studies. In the third section, the explanations were provided about the types of flexible working. In the third section, the forms of the flexible working methods in the foreign countries were mentioned. In the fifth section, the flexibility arrangements in Turkish Labor Code and the flexible working was analyzed. In the sixth section, a research was conducted on the banking in Turkey and the results of the research were interpreted.Key Words: Flexibility, Wage, Law, Employer, Working Process, Competition, Professional life
