Özet (EN)
The province of Çankırı has a rich diversity in terms of wildlife species and features Black Sea in the north and Central Anatolia in the south. The impact of traffic and highways on the wildlife in Turkey is becoming increasingly popular topic. However, there is no comprehensive study on this subject. This study was carried out in order to determine the collision cases related to mammals and the hot spots where these incidents are common between 2015-2019 in Çankırı province on two important highways (D-100-Çerkeş-Tosya and D-765-Ankara provincial border-Kastamonu provincial border). There are no wild animal crossing bridges on these two main roads.
