Abstract (EN)
Concepts such as tradition, religion, culture and history cause individuals to feel similar emotions and experience similar experiences. These similarities bring the individuals closer and bring the society, the nation, into existence. For the continuation of the society, it is necessary to transfer the culture to the next generations. The first place where cultural transfer takes place is the family. The family has an important effect on the society's living as a whole with its past and future. For this reason, people have given a special value to the concept of family. The fact that every step taken to establish a family contains many cultural codes reveals this value to the mind. Although the wedding traditions, which differ in each region, have changed over time, the values have never been lost. In the Kızılırmak district of Çankırı, these pasts have managed to come to the present without losing their value. In this study, it has been tried to explain how wedding invitations are made in the region. The study first started with a literature review, information about the field was obtained and questions to be asked to the resource persons were prepared. The questions were asked to the resource people by going to the field and were compiled by interview method. While selecting the resource persons, the help of the residents of the area was taken, and they directed us to the people who knew the traditions of the region. In addition, only the villages that were not connected to the Kızılırmak Center were visited. The questions we prepared were asked to thirty resource people and the answers were recorded with a voice recorder. The old videos and photographs we found in the homes of the source persons were used in this study with the permission of the source persons. The materials of our work; audio recordings taken, video recordings and photographs found in the homes of the source persons Keywords: Çankırı, Kızılırmak, Wedding, Tradition, Culture.
