Abstract (EN)

Poverty is one of the important social problems that are widely discussed in the history of humanity and still waiting to be resolved in today's world. Poverty, the world and is expressed in many different sizes and types in Turkey. Poverty's becoming more and more important has led various national and international organizations to find solutions. Social assistance are generally one of the solutions develop countries find to reduce poverty. Social assistance policies continue to be a controversial issue in underdeveloped countries. As the fight aganist poverty in Turkey recent years has been started by the state social assintance policy. However, it is believed that social assistance provided by the state leads people not to work or to work informally and to fragmented family structures and poverty constitutes a culture in people receiving social assistance. With this study, it is aimed to examine whether there is actually a culture of poverty in people who receive social assistance. The study is based on empirical data on the basis of conceptual approaches. In this context, poverty, poverty culture, world poverty and sizes in Turkey, poverty reduction policies, including issues such as the literature Çankırı empirical research was carried out by a person receiving benefits from the Çankırı Social Service Center. In the study carried out with the in-depth interview technique within the scope of qualitative research method, the practices and reflections of this center were tried to be evaluated within the scope of the Poverty Culture Theory based on the experiences of the participants regarding of Çankırı Social Service Center.
